Kingscroft/Waterville

Cold but sunny as I gassed up at Burroughs Falls and then headed towards Coaticook on 141. A left just before Smith's Garage took me into Kingscroft and from there I took the gravel all the way to Waterville by way of Hatley before returning along Route 143.

Altogether I was out for an hour and ten minutes at 33 F. wearing sneakers and two pairs of socks, long underwear, jeans, three shirts, jacket, and ski gloves. I felt relatively comfy for most of the ride, but that must have been due to numbness because by the time I got back to the Bonnie Castle I was fairly well frozen. Warmed up quickly in front of the wood stove after a brisk walk over to the New House.

Speed chills.
