Triumph Serial Numbers 1969-1983

The Triumph Meriden factory began production for new model years in August of the prior year. In October 1968, during the 1969 model year, Triumph changed to a new serial number system which used two letters to designate the month and year of production, and a 5-digit serial number, beginning at either 00100 or 00101, depending upon your source.

Example: NC00100 was built in October (N) 1968 (C) and would have been a 1969 model.
