Close encounter! 1:26 Boynton Vallieres, Amy, Tomofobia, Boynton, Merrill, Brown's Hill, Ayer's Cliff, Burrough's Falls, Ayers Cliff. About a hundred yards before the end of Vallieres a doe and her fawn popped up from the left-hand side of the road. I was only doing about 45 mph. I braked hard and wound up passing in front of the fawn and behind the doe. I was only several feet away from the doe and saw her face quite clearly. She looked pretty dazed. After several weeks of being driven around during hunting season these animals are kind of like refugees on the run. |
