Tiling the Heating Stove Wall and Floor

As usual, most of the work went into preparation. To begin with, the floor had to be reinforced in order to support an 850 pound wood stove without sagging.

Next, the cement block wall behind the stove, which the crappy mason laid up a full 1-1/4" out of plumb top to bottom, had to be plumbed and given a smooth surface.
